OUR TOP 5 BREAKY POWER FRUITS

WHAT'S ON YOUR PLATE FOR BREAKFAST?

With so many of us on the go these days, it's easy to forget about the most important meal of  the day: breakfast.

Consider this: skipping breakfast can both slow down your metabolism and set you up for eating more later in the day.

So if you're in a rush, grab a fruit out the door, and take a bite into sweet heaven! Eating even the smallest breakfast is better than not eating anything at all.

Here are our top 5 fruits to get your hands on in the grocery store:

Açaí

Açaí is the Superfruit of all Superfruit containing one of the highest antioxidant levels. They're usually hard to find fresh, but add them frozen into smoothies, thaw them on top of greek yogurt or oatmeal, and they make for a great boost early in the morning!

Grapefruit

Grapefruit is a magical, fat-burning fruit. Grapefruit is hydrating, filling, and packed with immunity-boosting antioxidants. The fruit has fat-burning properties that may also help you get bikini body ready for the summer!

Bananas

Bananas are one of our favorite fruit out there! Bananas help control hunger, regulate your bowel movements, and provide a great array of vitamins to help protect your eyes and heart. They are a great source of potassium, which means they can help lower blood pressure for those at risk for hypertension. Pair them with a tablespoon of almond or peanut butter for an extra source of protein. They add just the right amount of sweetness to any snack!

Blueberries

Loaded with copious amounts of antioxidants, this is by far one of our favorite power fruits, and lucky for us, 'tis the season for big and sweet blueberries! Blueberries have far less calories than most other fruit with only 80 calories per cup, which is always a plus in our book. They are packed with fiber, which helps lower the total amount of cholesterol in the blood and decrease the risk of heart disease.

Kiwi

This exotic fruit may be hard to find at the grocery stores sometimes, but when they're out and about, we're definitely brining bags of this fuzzy fruit home with us! Kiwi packs nearly as much vitamin C per serving as an orange and contains more fiber per ounce than a banana.
